Hey there! I’m Busola, a Nigerian American proudly born and raised in the metro Atlanta area of Georgia. Growing up, I struggled with low self-esteem and often felt lost and alone, despite being surrounded by people. I was always the reserved one, excelling in academics but never quite feeling like I fit in. It wasn’t until later in life that I realized how much of an impact those feelings of loneliness had on my journey, and how they fueled my passion for mental health and community building.
Fast forward to today, and I’m driven by the desire to use my experiences and my education to make a difference. I earned a B.S. in Health Promotion and Behavior from the University of Georgia and went on to complete my Master’s in Public Health at Emory University, focusing on global health and community development. Along the way, I discovered my deep passion for sexual and reproductive health, gender and racial equity, and advocating for marginalized communities.
My mission? To build healthier, more inclusive communities by lifting up voices that are often overlooked and amplifying stories that deserve to be heard. I’m passionate about women’s empowerment and helping others discover their worth—because I know how important it is to feel seen and valued. No one should have to navigate their journey feeling alone, and I want to make sure that no one ever has to.
If you’re into tackling big public health challenges with a side of social justice, or just want to connect about mental health, empowerment, or how to build stronger communities, I’d love to hear from you!
